Getting Started with Media Mentors

Media Mentors connects you with working professionals in your chosen creative endeavor.  To get started click the “Find a Mentor” link in the top navigation bar.  From there you can either select a subcategory such as “Screenwriting” or click again to browse all Mentors.  Browse through and click on a Mentor that offers the skillset you’re seeking.

On the Mentor’s page, you will learn of their work experience and areas of expertise.  When you’re ready to schedule your session, click the “Schedule Now” button, select an available day and time, proceed to payment and that’s it – you’re now connected.  Upon payment completion, you will receive an email with everything you need to connect with your Mentor.

How do I reschedule cancel a session?

You can reschedule or cancel an upcoming session by clicking on the “Change/Cancel Appointment” link in your confirmation email.  If you deleted your confirmation email, contact us and we will resend you the email.

When you click the “Change/Cancel Appointment” link, you will be brought to your appointment confirmation page.  Here you are provided options to cancel or reschedule.

What is your cancelation policy?

You may cancel your session without penalty up to 48 hours before the session time.

What notifications will I receive?

You will receive an email confirming your session, reminder email along with a text message.  The text message depends on your carrier.

How do time zones, and dates work on Media Mentors?

Media Mentors operates using the Pacific Time zone, however when you schedule a session you will be asked for your time zone.  This will ensure your calendar invite and reminder are set correctly.
